NOÉ TOLEDO (Mexico City, 1991) had his first encounter with image-making at the age of seven, in the photography workshop of the National School of Visual Arts. Since then, he has explored drawing, painting, cinema, and literature, seeking a language that would allow him to weave together form, thought, and experience.

To unite all these passions, he completed a diploma in Cinematography, which deeply influenced his interest in movement and the order of time. After studying at the Active School of Photography, he distanced himself from traditional practice and began traveling the world, developing his dialectic between the paved and the cobbled, between solitude and belonging.

His method has become one of deep study and direct, in-the-flesh experience of place, far removed from anything touristic. With a phenomenological approach, his work explores perception as immediate contact with the world. Through images, Noé Toledo investigates the invisible structures of our beliefs and the ways we respond—before we think—to what we see.
